More than 30,000 race goers packed into Willowbank Raceway last weekend for the largest championship drag racing event held outside America - The FUCHS Winternationals.

Steve went into the weekend 3rd on the Top Alcohol championship leader board and with a strong qualifying pass of a 5.57 e.t, placing him in the top half of the field in 3rd position for race day.

Unfortunately all weekend the team struggled with a new batch of clutch plates coming apart every run, and in the first round of eliminations the funnycar shook hard and Steve was unable to pedal the funnycar to a win with a 5.81 e.t against Jon Sting.

The buzz and atmosphere at Willowbank was truly exciting for our team to be a part of and Willowbank's CEO Tony Manson sums it up beautifully.  "The 2014 FUCHS Winternationals here at Willowbank Raceway was simply phenomenal.  The board and I have to thank our staff, volunteers, commercial partners & racers for all their efforts, they all worked so hard to deliver an outstanding event for the fans who came here to experience the Winternationals.  To the spectators we must send our biggest thanks, your support of the raceway and this event is truly appreciated and without you the event wouldn't have had the same atmosphere & buzz - you are all as much a part of this event as we are, so thank you."

Although we have no amazing results to report this time following on from our success in Sydney, Steve is still a championship contender only dropping one place to 4th, going into the next round in Darwin in just a few weeks time.

Many many thanks to ACDelco Batteries who will still be a part of our team as we head to Darwin & also thanks to our associate sponsors Nulon, Jack Bros Engineering, Mobile Flywheel Grinding & Champion.
